We marked based on requirements from the education board.
During marking, it is advisable to;
1) mark with colleagues for cross-referencing as there are subjective answers that can be deemed correct or exceptionally well. This allows fair assessment and provides proper reasoning when a parent complains.
2) avoid giving marks out of a good will or with biasness. This is unfair to other students, and you can be penalised and removed as an educator
3) It is generally good to go through the paper for at least once more after you have marked them. This ensures you do not have any careless mistakes in your marking.
